Department Introduction

      This degree program is jointly established with the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Information Technology in the College of Science and Technology. The goal of this program is to nurture talents with practical skills in cross-disciplinary technology applications and to upgrade the competitiveness of the industry. The key mission of the program is to cultivate students’ awareness and application concepts of artificial intelligence and robotics, practical work ethic, and the development of application-oriented innovation, and to strengthen the cultivation of “application” talents in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics.

      The Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Information Technology of the College of Science and Technology have maintained close ties and exchanges with industry and other domestic and international research institutions over the past 20 years, and have established a strong track record of successful research and innovation. We hope to spread these forward-looking technologies and development experiences to the industrial sector to accelerate the overall development of innovative technologies and applications, and to promote the cooperation between academic research teams and the National Research Institute (NRI) and other corporate R&D institutions to drive the transformation and upgrading of Taiwan industries. In addition to working closely with industry networks, we will also actively participate in and organize various international artificial intelligence and robotics conferences and competitions to lead the development of related trends.

We work together with Taiwan’s smart technology and robotics industry to develop and enhance students’ practical experience.

Faculty of both departments

The University offers a wide range of theoretical and practical courses to assist students in learning and teaching through the collection of elite faculty from both the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Information Technology.
